Solid granit columns (not polished) c1850 set of 8 available, size are 81" 1/2 tall with an 11" sq capital which is nicely carved on undeside with two bands,beneath top a 6" 3/4 diameter tapered column leads down to a 8" 1/4 sq base decoratively carved on all four corners.Under original wash the stone colour is a pinky/grey with black flecks (very nice).Would make a stunning veranda. FOR SALE : PAIR OF VICTORIAN TERRACOTTA COLUMNS
A Pair of ornate decorative exterior or interior terracotta columns. The height can be adjusted by reducing the columns or adding a plinth to the base. There are chips and minor knocks to some areas. The columns dismatle into sections and will require internal rods to strengthen when in postion, they are currently partially hollow, with some previous cement residues.

Several pieces are marked George Skey, Wilnecote, Tamworth. We understand this firm was producing between 1862-1900.
