FOR SALE : SAND STONE ARCH & MARBLE UPRIGHTS
This beautiful triple way arch was in the entrance hall of the Reckit family home in Reading Berkshire. The arch way framed a grand oak staircase through the central arch with two smaller access arches either side.
The archway came in to our possession by way of the house being demolished to make way for housing.
The house after being in the Reckit family (Reckit Colman) was made port of the Leighton Park School then as the building tired it was sold for development.
As of yet we are unable to find out who carved the arch but it is particularly intricate with floral & animal scenes on all 4 crowns ( as seen in the picture's below)with four marble columns.
This beautiful arch & columns are all in tact ready to re assemble.

We are located on the Buckinghamshire / Oxfordshire border J5 of the M40. Open to the public 8-5 Mon-Fri 8-12.30 Sat.

Viewing strongly recommended to appreciate the the arch & it's features.
