WANTED : OAK BLOCK
I'm looking for a seasoned old block of oak, possibly an off-cut from an old beam.
Dimensions required need to be somewhere near 8" x 12" on the end grain cross section by about 12" to 16" long. (8 x 12 x 16 inches). I'd rather it wasnt overly rustic although only one end needs to be reasonably square-ish for about 4 inches, the rest of the block will be set in concrete in the floor, I'll be using it as a solid stop for a pair of very heavy iroko hardwood gates.
