As the inscription reads, Salters " Compact " Weighing Machine No 216. Cast iron white and gilt weighing scales. Neatly contained within a small area, the white and guilt painted classical ornament elevate this piece from a functional mechanism to the dizzy heights of an elaborate showpiece for the home.
The scales still accurate, depict the charm and character of one hundred years of use. Presenting themselves today as the genuine article and a true decorators piece.
( Chrome mottle, still with good sheen. Face also heavily mottled in places however all script clearly visibly. Maybe some re-touching of gilt work ).

C1970 Large vintage Italian, hand blown Egg Lamp by Reggiani
Eo Italiano, mi chiamo egg. With something of an obsession with eggs going on over the sixties and seventies, from the egg man to the egg chair, this piece fits neatly in the period. Continuing the theme in a quiet, calmly stunning manor the light should be viewed as a good find for both the interior designer and collector alike.
Condition:
Glass: There are a couple of short light scratches on the exterior glass shade. These are difficult to find.
Chrome: In good condition with mild pitting on close inspection. The interior of the base is coated in white and has some wear to edges
Wiring: Original and working but we would suggest a safety check.

This is a rare & stunning cast iron fire surround with cast iron corbles. The corbles have just fantastic detail whilst the rest of the surround is plain and detail free, for a truly classic & timeless look. I spent a long time searching for this fireplace as I wanted an original surround but something that would complement my contemporary decor (I'm not a fan of ribboned or floral detail). I am now downsizing and moving house so have had the surround removed to sell on to someone else who will love it as much as I have! I paid £2,800 for this item three years ago, and of course these types of surrounds retain their value well (It measures 60" across the mantel, 48" high, 35.5" across the opening with a height of 37.5")

 FOR SALE : SOLID PITCH PINE CHURCH ALTAR / CABINET
Small and compact in size, yet all mighty in form and presence.
Constructed of solid pitch pine throughout, the altar has been restored in recent years and presents itself as sharp and clean whilst still maintaining some of the character of a piece of this age. Strong gothic forms, walk around features, canted corners, striking grain, painted panel and more. Compacting all within such an area, the alter lendeth itself to thy home in many ways, from centre table to small kitchen island.
A sight to behold, it is truly blessed, here cometh a miracle of decorative practicality and the opportunity to repent for previous decorative sins. May the spirit of inspiration be with you.

Condition:
Finish: Repolished some time ago still with knocks, bumps, scratches and general distressing. One deeper, more obvious knock to top
Structure: Sturdy and heavy. All solid pitch pine. Solid pine, fielded panels to doors. Top is kinking up on edges slightly on both sides. Quite a few light dinks to underneath storage area.
Hardware: Lock has been replaced at some stage. A handle was added to a door and has now been removed. This small hole has now been filled and disguised. Bolt has also been replaced.
