C1910 Edwardian Walnut Office swivel chair
Condition as follows:
The chair is in good sturdy condition. It appears to have been cleaned up a little and over-polished in its lifetime, this work looks to have been carried out some time ago. The chair probably quite dark originally had areas of wear which were lighter. Rather than strip and re-polish someone has protected the worn areas with a layer of polish whilst maintaining the age and distressing. The spruce up was carried out throughout the chair, corners still dark and a level of distressing still evident in the form of knocks bumps and scratches.. The seat appears to have also been reupholstered using a textured imitation leather ( vinyl ).
The metal mechanism all working fine, so the chair adjusts, swivels and leans back with no problems. The metal has also had a spruce in it's life with an overcoat of black, this has again become worn.
One brass castor has been replaced with a metal castor, not particularly eye catching and works fine.
Overall the chair maintains a level of character in the knocks and bumps of time, the spruce up was some time ago and again has mellowed.
A good size, the chair is quite substantial with a tall splat and use of solid timbers throughout. A feature piece for the home office.

 FOR SALE : SOLID PITCH PINE CHURCH ALTAR / CABINET
Small and compact in size, yet all mighty in form and presence.
Constructed of solid pitch pine throughout, the altar has been restored in recent years and presents itself as sharp and clean whilst still maintaining some of the character of a piece of this age. Strong gothic forms, walk around features, canted corners, striking grain, painted panel and more. Compacting all within such an area, the alter lendeth itself to thy home in many ways, from centre table to small kitchen island.
A sight to behold, it is truly blessed, here cometh a miracle of decorative practicality and the opportunity to repent for previous decorative sins. May the spirit of inspiration be with you.

Condition:
Finish: Repolished some time ago still with knocks, bumps, scratches and general distressing. One deeper, more obvious knock to top
Structure: Sturdy and heavy. All solid pitch pine. Solid pine, fielded panels to doors. Top is kinking up on edges slightly on both sides. Quite a few light dinks to underneath storage area.
Hardware: Lock has been replaced at some stage. A handle was added to a door and has now been removed. This small hole has now been filled and disguised. Bolt has also been replaced.
