FOR SALE : CHARACTER OAK BEAM FOR INGLENOOK. LINTELS

Very heavy and solid Welsh oak beam with some natural shaping. 102" / 2.6m length by 9" / 220mm width by 5" / 130mm height. Lovely figuring in the grain would make it a fabulous inglenook beam. Once sanded up they are stunning. Very dense and has excellent structural properties as weve also used them as lintels in old Welsh stone cottages.
Bought from local sawmill in Denbighshires Clwydian mountain range to special order in 2001.
Nicely seasoned having been stored indoors since then, allthough dont expect no movement if you do use one as an inglenook beam above a hot fire as it will dry out further.
I can cut it down for you width ways but not length ways if need be.
You're welcome to come and view/pick it up or arrange your own courier, weight is approximately 80kg+. I can deliver it in my van. Cost will be dependant on mileage.
