FOR SALE : CHARACTER OAK BEAM FOR INGLENOOK. LINTELS
Very heavy and solid Welsh oak beam with some natural shaping. 102" / 2.6m length by 9" / 220mm width by 5" / 130mm height. Lovely figuring in the grain would make it a fabulous inglenook beam. Once sanded up they are stunning. Very dense and has excellent structural properties as weve also used them as lintels in old Welsh stone cottages.
Bought from local sawmill in Denbighshires Clwydian mountain range to special order in 2001.
Nicely seasoned having been stored indoors since then, allthough dont expect no movement if you do use one as an inglenook beam above a hot fire as it will dry out further.
I can cut it down for you width ways but not length ways if need be.
You're welcome to come and view/pick it up or arrange your own courier, weight is approximately 80kg+. I can deliver it in my van. Cost will be dependant on mileage.

A very nice and old cartwheel bearing the name Ransomes and having a Diameter of 121 cm. This item came from a local farm and has been sandblasted and is now awaiting painting in your colours once the new surface has been rubbed back.
Quite heavy at around 35kg. You're welcome to come and view/pick it up or arrange your own courier. I can deliver it in my van. Cost will be dependant on mileage.

FOR SALE : HUGE SLATE SLABS FOR HEARTH, DOORSTEP
One enormous and very heavy piece of slate measuring 1.8m by 730mm by 35mm deep (71 inches by 29 inches by 1 1/4 inches deep). Smooth flat finish on both sides and end edges with a consistent thickness all round.
It would make a very good hearth being of the correct thickness and substantial depth. Slate is very efficient in storing and re releasing heat making it comfortable and warm to the touch.
Ideal worktop or doorstep when finished and oiled, due to its metric cut to kitchen standards as well as its smooth and consistent surface.
Slate is fairly soft and can be cut down using a standard angle grinder with a diamond disc blade. I have an Argos 9" Challenge grinder 29.99 with diamond disc which serves me well. If you need advice about cutting or finishing feel free to contact me.
Surplus to requirements and taking up space.
Youre welcome to come and view/pick it up or arrange your own courier, weight is approximately 150kg+. I can deliver it in my van. Cost will be dependant on mileage. Based in North Wales.
