This is a very good quality block, hard wearing and with great colour and character. They were taken from a school built in the 1940's, so come with a long history.
The blocks are tongue and grooved and are 24mm thick by 68mm by 228mm (+/- 3,5mm)
They are supplied with bituchmin removed from bottoms & sides, and the tongue and grooves cleaned, ready to fit.
Because of our low operating overheads, we are able to supply these cleaned blocks at a lower rate than you will find anywhere else!
Photo shows them cleaned,sanded and oiled,
For a better finish you would simply increase the layers of a tinted or coloured wax.

 FOR SALE : ANTIQUE RECLAIMED QUARTER SAWN OAK PARQUET, FIRST LAID IN 1928 These blocks are quarter sawn, very clean and will produce a rare, outstanding ,quality floor.
Blocks are 208mm long by 70mm wide by 25mm thick (+/- 2mm as there are reclaimed)
These blocks have recently been carefully lifted from a school classroom.
The school was opened on September 28, 1936 meaning these blocks have a long history.
However the blocks are still 25mm thick which means they will last at least as long as they already have!
Photos 2 and 3 show the block before and after sanding, highlighting the tiger stripes only found in this rare quater sawn english oak block

 FOR SALE : ANTIQUE CAST IRON COOKING RANGE & ANTIQUE CAST IRON FIRE SURROUND Antique cast Iron Cooking Range & Antique Cast Iron Fire Surround. The range is made by C.O Holmes & Co.Newcastle, & is inscribed with 'The Durham' along with a picture of a pit colliery underneath it.
The range is in excellent overall condition for it's age. As far as I know it was an original feature of my house, where I have lived for the last 10 years. We have used the range a handful of times as a fire. The fire surround itself can be adjusted width ways a couple of inches should it be required.
APPROXIMATE measurements of range 152cm Width x 134cm Height x 47cm Depth.
To the best of my knowledge, the house was built sometime during the 1800's.
As we are now modernising the house, I have decided to sell the cooking range, along with the cast iron fire surround. The range would be a fantastic feature to a property where it can be fully appreciated, as it has lots of life in it & is going to waste at present.
The range & fire surround will have to be removed & dismantled by the buyer(s). We will be here to assist.

 FOR SALE : EARLY 20TH CENTURY LEADED LIGHT CHAPEL WINDOWS These windows were removed from a Methodist chapel in County Durham with full planning consent. The collection comprises six full window frames of good quality pitched pine in a range of sizes. 4 of the frames are 2.14m wide x 2.45m high with three large panes to the lower parts and six smaller arched panes above. The other two frames are narrower with just two panes width and four arched lights above. These are 1.46m wide x 2.45m high and 1.46m wide x 2.11m high. The glass is in a range of colours mainly greens, yellow, red and orange and each pane features a metal hopper light opening. The designs are not religious and are typical of the early part of the 20th century which would tie in with the date of the chapel. In addition there are a selection of glass quarries for repairs as required, two circular windows in frames and some part restored panes ready to refit to the timber framework.
