This frame was constructed about 14 years ago of weathered New Forest
oak It is a copy of the 16th century Bayleaf threshing barn at West Singleton
It was dismantled by order of the Planning Officer!
Beams are numbered and sketches are available to help reconstruction
The frame is mortised and pegged. There are 200 beams, the largest
being 30feet by 12x12 inches.It is designed to go on a stone plinth.

 FOR SALE : DISMANTLED BARN This is he sister barn to the one in the photograph. The two barns were originally partitioned in the middle. I have errected the 4 bay and the 5 bay is for sale. It is approximtley 21ft wide and 50/60ft long. The pictures show what I have errected. This is not the barn for sale but gives an idea of what is being sold. The barn frame for sale is the timber frame only but I have collected various other pieces in the course of the re-erection of its sister barn. It is a mixture of oak and elm.  FOR SALE : ENGLISH ELM CART SHED A genuine English ELM 4 bay cart shed has been dismantled very carefully and marked ready to be assembled again. This building is a testament to carpenters of times gone by with joints long fogotten about made to perfection still as solid as when they were first made in 1831, although some of the timbers could be older.
