 FOR SALE : ANTIQUE DOG-GRATE A very large cast iron dog grate. It is said to have once come from a large house near Basingstoke; possibly Hackwood House? I would guess that it dates from somewhere between 1790 and 1850 but I'm not an expert on these things. I believe it is very rare to find an English dog-grate of this enormous size and classical design. I would presume it must have come from a major stately home and possibly a special commission.
It is need of restoration with missing fire dog supports, ball finial
and several large cracks.
Total height is 1206mm. Width of fire back is 803mm.
Sadly its too large for my fireplace.

 FOR SALE : ORIGINAL VICTORIAN WASH BASIN This period Victorian Wash Basin is original and in very good condition (see photos). It has scallop soap indents to each side and upstands with chisel effect detailing to perimeter. The original waste is still connect and the plug also. The is a mark on the front that looks like a chip but it is not being smooth and part of the glazed so assume it was there when fired and made. The is a very small mark/chip to the left side upstand to top and side. I tried to photograph this but being so close it did not come out and in no way detracts from the piece and is not really that noticeable but wanted to point this out.
