 FOR SALE : SLATE WATER TANK REMOVED FROM LOFT.
Slate water tank found in loft of 1748 Cornish home. Approx. 18" deep, 4' long & 3'm wide. The thickness of the slate is approx 2" for the base & 1.5" on the sides. The 4 verticle sections are supported by steel thread and bolts across the width of the tank. It does not appear to be lined with anything but the verticle slates do sit within grooves in the base slate. It is still water tight as it was in use above our heads as the water tank until this weekend! It is know out of the loft and can be sold as individual pieces of slate or hopefully as a tank/trough again.
