WANTED : LATE GEORGIAN/EARLY VICTORIAN CAST IRON RAILINGS
I am searching for railings for a terraced late Georgian house built in 1833. There are no railings present, but the house is listed and they need to be replaced. If you have railings that match these (or close) please get in touch with me. I have attached photos of my neighbors railings for your review. I can change out the heads of the rails if you have similar sans the top. My telephone is 01273 77 99 66. Thanks, Meg

Have you thought of having them made new? Many of the railings in Brighton and Hove have been replaced by new - the bars are mild steel of a suitable dimension, taking account of the years of paint and the tops are re-cast to a pattern (you neighbours?). It is virtually impossible to re-erect original railings as they are often cracked and are always very brittle - also styles are very local.
Please contact me initially via email if you would like a further chat
