 FOR SALE : HUGE GOTHIC OAK BOOKCASE 13FT LONG
This auction is for a rare exceptional Gothic revival solid oak bookcase dating from the 1860s .It still retains its original cornice and eight leaded glass doors to the top. The base has four doors complete with carved armorial shield. Behind two of the doors it has a bank of draws with turned recessed knobs. The bookcase came from Brands Burton Hall in East Yorkshire which has just been turned into flats, I bought this bookcase from a farmer who told me it used to belong to Lawrence of Arabia or came from the home he lived in. This is only hear say, but Lawrence did live in East Yorkshire for a while. The bookcase splits into nine pieces for easy transportation and simply screws together all shelves are adjustable and each top section has 3 and below has 2. This bookcase has very few marks and dings but has had a few alterations over the years. You are free to inspect this bookcase anytime and will offer a full refund if not 100% happy. The measurements of the bookcase are 13ft 6" length 88" height and 22" depth.
