Description of the product you are purchasing:
Reclaimed Oak woodblock parquet flooring. This flooring has had the bitumen removed from the rear. In most cases there will still be a staining of bitumen on the rear of the block, however, there will be no big clumps and you will be able to use almost any adhesive to fit them. The Tops have been sanded to remove the original layer of bitumen from them.

Depth : 3/4'' or 18mm or 2cm Approx Due to the nature of this product, (Reclaimed) there may be a degree of wear on some of the blocks that have been used in high traffic areas (Corridors etc) please ''do'' expect to receive some blocks that vary in thickness, allow at least 10% wastage. We do not mix and match blocks from different projects and the blocks you will receive will be from all the same source. The same goes for all reclaimed flooring.

Tongue Grooved : yes - the t&g's have not been cleaned by us, in most cases they are in clean condition to start with, you may have to scrape out some of the t&g. You will have some blocks where the t&g is damaged.

What is required of these blocks once they are fitted?:
A sand to smooth off the rough pre sanded surface and then the floor will require a finish to go on it; this can be varnish, stain, wax or lacquer.
Cleaning information:
Once your floor is in place it requires little attention. Solid wooden flooring can be treated like any other wooden floor, you can mop it, hover it, brush it etc It can be used in almost every room in the house providing its kept fairly dry and not saturated every day it can also be used in bathrooms, utility rooms and also kitchens.

This is really beautiful wood that you simply cannot get any more - it is now classed as endangered.
As you can see from the photos, these blocks (in our opinion) are in good condition for their age.
As Mentioned above, the blocks measure 8.75" X 2.25" X 0.75" thick with T & G edges and are 100% Solid Wood! We have over 250 sq yards available. We are selling in square yard units which have been hand packed on pallets and shrink wrapped for ease of transportation. A few extra blocks have been thrown in per square yard to allow for any odd reject blocks that may have slipped through the net! It is stored off the ground and under cover and so is dry but as with any timber, we recommend that you store it in situ for approx 2 weeks before laying it to acclimatize to the environment (even though this wood should have done all the moving that it needs to over the years!)

Reclaimed Iroko woodblock parquet flooring. This flooring has had the bitumen removed from the rear leaving o thin black layer of staining and the original layer of varnish previously on the face has been roughly sanded off. You are purchasing a reconditioned parquet flooring block that is without the work that that's usually involved with reclaimed parquet flooring.

What is required of these blocks once they are fitted?:
A light sanding to smooth over the surface and then the floor will require a finish to go on it; this can be varnish, stain, wax or lacquer.
Please always seek advise from a qualified fitter as to suitability.
Please remember that this is reclaimed flooring that you are buying, it is not new and may require some if only little preperation before fitting. There will be an element of dust that is created when you sand the fitted flooring. Please expect the room you are fitting these blocks in, to be out of use for a number of days at a time throught the fitting and finishing process.
Delivery/Collection
You will receive these blocks palliated. If you would like to collect them we can stack them in small bundles for you so they are easy to handle and fit in your vehicle. We can also deliver in person if you are close to us or we can send with a pallet company. The cost of delivery via a pallet company will be in the region of £45-£70 per pallet.
