 FOR SALE : WILLIAM IV ROSEWOOD CARD TABLE A superb example of a William IV Rosewood card table with its traditional swivel and folding top design. The table top is decorated with rope edged carving, and a rectangular design to the front. This William IV rosewood table stands upon an elegantly turned and reeded column with 4 intricately carved splayed feet. These feet have matching rope carving along their edge and an ornate leaf design to the floor standing parts. This table is in lovely condition for its age with just the obvious signs of wear and tear. There is, however, very slight fading to the top probably acquired through direct sunlight. This card table is new to the market as it has been part of the same family for over 50 years. It is one of many pieces that we have recently acquired from a lovely local property and is certainly not to be missed.

Edwards and Roberts were renowned for their superb quality furniture and attention to detail throughout the Victorian period. This particular desk is a Chinese Chippendale revival circa 1880. As you can see, it features a plain and simple working area, and a single drawer to centre flanked by small drawers either side. All of the drawers are fitted with the original handles and locks, and decorated with blind fretwork carving. It stands upon 8 Bamboo inspired carved legs with square feet and small inserted brass castors. This superb credenza has two bowed glass side doors, which open up to reveal two internally fitted shelves for the display of china /glass etc., these doors are both lockable with the original keys. The centre section has twin opening doors with single shelf to interior. The whole item is decorated with brass inlay and gold ormolu decoration, also decorated with hand painted plaques featuring two large oval plaques to doors.  FOR SALE : ART DECO LEATHER ARMCHAIRS A magnificent pair of 1930s leather club chairs; with their beautiful worn leather look, the chairs still have their original velvet upholstered seats. Both chairs are in excellent condition for their age considering the amount of usage they would have experienced. The back, sides, arms and head rest have no rips or tears. But as you can see by the photographs, there are some small tears to the front centre of the chairs, but considering their age, this is very minor. To emphasise, these are ORIGINAL 1930s art deco leather armchairs, and not the new 'distressed' leather armchairs which are available at the moment. They have a timeless look that will never date.

All of these vintage tubular steel stacking chairs are in good condition with no breaks to the steel work, but as you can appreciate, being used on a daily basis, there are marks to the paint work, and wear and tear to the seats which we feel adds to their character.

 FOR SALE : EDWARDIAN MONKS BENCH IN SOLID OAK A truly outstanding piece of classic British furniture. This Monks bench features magnificent carving to table top and back support which is held in position by two ornately carved lion figures. The item has carved panels to base section and figures to either side. It has a large lift up seat to expose a considerable amount of inner storage space. This Monks bench would be ideal in any period hallway or conservatory. This Edwardian monks bench is in beautiful condition for its age, but sadly, there is a mark to the polish work on the top of the table. This is not so evident when this piece is in the bench position. There is also a minor expansion in the seat area, but this is extremely small and considering its age, this Edwardian Monks bench is in outstanding condition.
