A fine example of an early hand carved natural cotswold stone trough, possibly early 19th century. We have a good selection of original pumps also available.
The trough has no cracks or significant knocks. There are two drain holes to the base, one with part lead pipe still attached. These could easily be blocked to make the trough watertight.

This is a granite trough that is approx. 6ft by 2 ft and 2ft high. It makes a beautiful container for displaying plants or can be used in dramatic and bold water features. As it is solid granite it will last for ever. It has lots of character and the edges have been worn smooth by cattle drinking out of the trough. The walls and floor are very thick (about 4 inches) so therefore this item is very heavy ( approx 450kg).There is a drain hole in the base of the trough - ideal for drainage or could be blocked if suited depending on use.
