A very nice and substantial Octagonal shaped Cider Press Stone. This stone has a channel carved around the complete edge of the stone for the cider juice to run out through.

A nice stone trough with charecter and substantial. From Matlock in Derbyshire the walls of the this trough are several inches thick in parts.
The trough is uneven in shape being taller at one end to the other which adds to its character. Very good condition.

 FOR SALE : ANTIQUE COTSWOLD STONE 'D' SHAPED TROUGH
A fine example of an early hand carved natural cotswold stone trough, possibly early 19th century. We have a good selection of original pumps also available.
The trough has no cracks or significant knocks. There are two drain holes to the base, one with part lead pipe still attached. These could easily be blocked to make the trough watertight.
