 FOR SALE : ANTIQUE TAMBOUR FRONTED FILING CABINET. I think this cabinet was originally designed to hold sheet music but would also suit a variety of other uses from storing paperwork, magazines, CD'S or even Lp's (depending how old you are ! ) It's made in mahogany stands 43" high x 19" wide x 15" deep. It has 9 drawers which when closed are hidden behind a real nice Tambour roller shutter door. Ok, it needs a little tlc here and there and the locking mechanism is missing but less than an hours work could soon bring this unusual cabinet back to it's former glory.  FOR SALE : CAST IRON WALL PLAQUE OF THE LAST SUPPER.
Leonardo da Vinci's famous painting of the 'Last Supper' was copied by many artists in a wide range of materials. By the early 19th Century central European foundries were producing examples in cast iron, and by the 1830s similar plaques were being reproduced by the Coalbrookdale Company.
Most examples were polished to resemble steel, but they were also produced in a bronze or, more unusually, a painted and gilded finish. Large numbers of these castings were made and many local houses boasted an example. The finest versions faithfully reproduce all the intricate details of the original pattern, particularly the apostle's toenails!
More information about this plaque can be found on the ' Iron bridge ' website and follow the links for the Coalbrookdale exhibitions where you will see one similar on display.
This plaque measures approx 26 ¾" x 14 ¾" and would need to be cleaned to bring back to its former glory.
On the bottom of the plaque it has the inscription
- amen dico vobis quia unus vestrum me traditurus est -
( and as they did eat, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me ).
