The mantle shelf has a decoratively carved foliate edge,the lower frieze has numerous foliate motifs with chamfered borders, the left and right legs have large carved panels depicting diamond and floral designs again with chamfered borders.The surround measures 70''wide X 48''high it has a wonderful rich colour with a good patina £1200.00. Also a simply decorated Edwardian tiled insert with good original tiles, supplied with a new fireback suitable for a gas or coal fire. the insert measures 38''wide X 38''high, with a 16''fire opening £580.00.
