 FOR SALE : VICTORIAN MAHOGANY FIREPLACE Victorian mahogany surround with fine carving and intricate brass inlay, complete with a pair of majolica figural tile panels of popular Dickensian characters made by Sherwin & Cotton. An early work by designer George Cartlidge, this pair are a precursor to his famous Emaux Ombrants tile portraits. The iron insert has an adjustable hood with inset copper decoration and comes complete with a new fireback suitable for a gas or solid fuel fire, a very unusual fireplace. 61''wide x 52''high.
