FOR SALE : LARGE ANTIQUE PINE TRUNK /CHEST /BLANKET BOX

This large antique pine trunk probably Victorian, is made of dovetail construction and sits on a plinth base. It has strong iron handles to each side iron hinges and iron corner joints on the outside. The trunk has not been stripped and is still in it's original if rather worn finish which adds to the character. The trunk has the initials F.S. on the front and the inside lid is covered in parts by the Graphic of Australia - 1917. It has a lock which may have been replaced at some stage. There is a little evidence of wood worm which you expect in a piece of this age and I have had this treated.

It measures 37" wide x 19.5" deep x 21.5" high.
