 FOR SALE : ORIGINAL ENGLISH CASTLE / GOTHIC STYLE OAK DOOR Constructed from three riveted wrought iron sheets with oak and elm timbers to front and back.
The timber has been preserved and waxed, although some loss has occured near the base on the front side. The lock and hinges could be later additions, we believe the hinges would be usable. The door has developed a lean under its own weight, this may partially flatten out when properly hung.
Possible uses include a film prop, or feature for a historic building. Given its condition, age and rarity we consider this item to a show or museum piece, rather than for use as a working door.
