WANTED : RECLAIMED OAK LINTEL FOR INGLENOOK FIREPLACE
Oak Lintel approximately 300mm by 300mm by 1.8 metres in length or longer required to re-instate inglenook fireplace in 15th century property renovation.
Ideal lintel would actually be one that has been recalimed from an inglenook, although any lintel that is somewhere near the right size and has a bit of character to it will be considered.

Hello Paul/Thomas,

Just thought I'd drop you a quick note to see if you had any joy yet. My company manufactures helical bar that can be chased into the walls and used to form a Lintel. The product is cost effective and I'm happy to provide installation details so you can do it yourself. Any timber that you then put in place will be purely decorative so it may give you a greater choice of timbers.

Happy to discuss if you need.

Regards,

Thomas Vosper

Hello Paul,
Saw you wanted ad and thought i would drop you note to see if the beam we have just removed from an inglenook would be of any interest. We think it may be oak or elm not confirmed, it is a curved 'Bessemer' type with dimemensions of approx 300mmsq x 2.7m.
Can send you a couple pics from when in place.
