Reflecting on the work of
Delaherche (France 1857-1940)

Auguste Delaherche was born into a family of potters at Beauvaisis, He worked in Stoneware and took over the Chaplet workshop in nearby Savignies, a busy centre for ceramics in past centuries. Chaplet was one of the earliest studio potters originally trained at Sèvres. Delaherche's forms were always inspired by nature and flowers and seeds in particular.
