Auguste Delaherche was born into a family of potters at Beauvaisis, He worked in Stoneware and took over the Chaplet workshop in nearby Savignies, a busy centre for ceramics in past centuries. Chaplet was one of the earliest studio potters originally trained at Sèvres. Delaherche's forms were always inspired by nature and flowers and seeds in particular.

 RECRAFT : PINE BARREL-BACK DISPLAY CUPBOARD/CABINET. For sale a barrelback cupboard. It is constructed to the same design as a genuine Georgian barrelback cupboard with two doors under. The top is built up with blocks of timber the term is called "circle on circle work" it looks like half an igloo. It has three 'wig' type shelves supported on cut out wooden brackets.
The Cupboard is made of reclaimed timber (which reduces the risk of warping). It is not freestanding it needs to be built in to a corner or set in an alcove. The size is 8ft tall; 4ft wide; and 20ins deep. Tel: 01304 613133. Price : £1100or offer
