 FOR SALE : STAINED GLASS FRENCH WINDOWS & DOORS ENTRANCE This item is a one-off and never to be repeated. This was designed for the house i have recently purchased, which when built around 1908 and there are only 4 homes of the same charachter. The house was originally lavished with Stained glass windows throughout and these windows were designed for only this house. Sadly i have had to have these removed because of an extension to the existing property.
The Windows themselves i would say are generally in a good to excellent condition for its period, they are all encased in metal and not wood - therefore extremely heavy. There is some damage to the windows, but thankfully these are only to the clear glass rectangle pieces of glass which can easily be replaced. There is also one small piece of plain obsecure glass also cracked - but i have a similar matching piece that would complement this and go in its place.
The heavy metal french door, for some reason was welded together, however this can easily be sawn off/unwelded or heated up to move the welding in a couple of places. I think this was done by the last owner because the lock is either broken or there is no key available because it was lost - however a conventional 5 lever lock will fit in its place, as this is what is currently there.
I have had this valued prior to it being removed, and i was told that this would fetch in the region of between £4500 - £5500 if this was in perfect condition.
I am therefore aware of the work that needs to be done to bring this back to scratch, mainly confined to replaceing 11 pieces of oblong clear glass and unwelding the door and putting a new lock on. Otherwise this is a huge heavy ornate piece with beautiful iris flowers. I have never seen any item remotely as big or similar to this at all.
I had originally wanted the stained glass to be encapsulated, however this could not be done without having to lose some of the design and pattern and compromising the actual original design. I therefore had this copied and as you can see form the pictures, this is not remotely similar or as beautiful. Also considerable peices of the original stained glass had to be omitted from the design as this could not be fitted into the extension place.
Thr price i am looking for this is a reasonable price, it is afterall a unique and huge item that will never be repeated again as this is a one-off design only to this home. At a baragin price of £800 this is a steal for someone. Contact : R. Din, Lancashire, UK. Tel: 07961 & 753 611. Price : £800

 FOR SALE : LARGE NOUVEAU FLORAL WINDOW- 7 FEET HIGH a large victorian stained glass window.approx 7 foot high.in perfect condition in two halves.the window has been set into double glazing fairly recently and was obviously cleaned up before that.the panels can easily be cut out of the double glazed units.

 FOR SALE : DALLES DE VERRE STAINED GLASS WINDOWS A large pair of "dalles de verre" stained glass windows.
Each window is built up with 11 frames of glass.Each frame is made up of a mosaic of inch thick pieces of stained glass set in epoxy resin.The glass pieces are chipped on one side around the edges - this makes the glass highly refractive and very bright.I also have the sub frames (glazed on one side)which are made up in sections from aluminium.There is space between the outer glazing and stained glass to mount some lights which may be usefull if the windows were going to be used soley fo decoration-ie.mounted on a wall.
Size is 129" max height by 63" wide.
There is no damage.
