WANTED : ITEMS FROM OLD BUTCHERS, BAKERS AND FISH MONGERS
I am in the process of setting up a delicatessen/wine shop in Leicester combining contemporary design with old items from butchers, bakers, fishmongers and wine shops. Items of interest include old Berkel meat slicers, old cheese cutting blocks (with wire cutters), chrome hanging bars from butchers, fishmongers etc. In addition any old fixtures and fittings from the above either as functional or decorative items (ie Environmental Health Regulations are very rigid today and many older items can only be used for decorative purposes).

Hello Andy,
Are you still looking for some butchers Rails and hooks. I know that my uncle has some nice old chrome rails from a butchers shop. From memory they have nice decrotive ends like a club (on a playing card ) only with pointed ends. I think he will also have the fixing brackets and hooks.
