 FOR SALE : LAMP POSTS - 4M WITH BASEPLATES
18 lighting columns salvaged from inside Central Milton Keynes shopping centre about 6 years ago. Stored inside since.
They are steel, circular in cross-section and gently taper over their 4metre height from 110mm to 57mm diameter. All have curved flush cut-out access panels with triangular keys.
They don't have 'roots' but are welded onto square base-plates that were bolted to the concrete sub-floor under the marble paving of the shopping centre. The 380mm square 13mm plates have 4 mounting holes spaced at 315mm.
Most have fittings and some have viable translucent globes.
Price is negotiable. Buyer arranges collection.

My wonderful lamp was bought from Castle gibson in Islington three years ago. A house move means it no longer fits with our decor, which is a shame as I love this shining work of art and am really sad to see it go... we really need to sell this so we've reduced the price by a hundred pounds
The base also doubles up as an ashtray and is very very heavy. We are non smokers so the ashtray has never been used by us.
A little restoration is needed on the chrome (see photo's) and the light switch needs replacing, a cheap quick job to bring her up to her gleaming best.
The floor lamp is fully working and has a long flex so you can position it anywhere in your room. The shade is multi positional and takes any screw in light bulb.
I have advertised this beautiful item elsewhere so reserve the right to withdraw it should it sell.
the sideboard in the picture is not for sale.
Due to the nature of this floor lamp it would be impossible to wrap/post, so buyer must collect.
