COMPACTOM GENTLEMAN'S WARDROBE

Beautiful finish with Oak doors.
All original internal fittings.
Mirror on inside right door.
Right door fitted with 4 shelves (incl 'Soft Collars'), fold out hanger rails & fold-out tie rack
Left door fitted with collapsable concertina clothes hanger folds into main compartment

Secret Compartment in base of wardrobe.

Main Compartment Right:
Special Compartments for different items of clothing.

Signature Blue 'C' Button above front door handles

Circa 1925-1935 British made by Compactom part of the Bovis group of house builders. The carpenters of the builders were employed to make these bespoke wardrobes when the British weather was at it's worst, they were customised for officers of the British Army who were sent to the colonies e.g India, Africa. It was known as Campaign Furniture. Today it is very sought after as this is a rare piece of historical British furniture.
