 FOR SALE : VICTORIAN LARGE WOODEN FIRE SURROUNDS
I have two large victorian fire surronds, cleanly removed from a period property in nottinghamshire. The largest, (measuring 70"h, 55"w) is in dark jacobean oak finish with mirror. The mirror finish is crazed and would require refinsihing to be perfect, but the glass is solid and free from defects. This is in very good general condition, and extremely solid. There is a panel on the left foot which has been rubbed down to reveal its natural colour.
The smaller, (measuring 63"h, 52"w) is the lighter finish, i'm not sure what exactly, almost teaky or walnut in shade, and is in very nice condition. Some remnants of local decorating from when in situ are present down the sides of the uprights but i'm sure they could be removed quite painlessly. Otherwise this could be ready to fit and admire as is if the current shade suited your room.
I would like to sell them together if possible but would of course split if convinced to do so. Delivery can also be arranged via negotiation if needed.
