 FOR SALE : EARLY 19TH CENTURY COURT CUPBOARD
For sale here is an exceptional early 19th century carved walnut court cupboard / sideboard c. 1820.
With intricately carved cornice and drawers with the upper and lower sections flanked by Doric columns, this piece boasts hand carved friezes to all the doors which open to reveal: to the top, two solid walnut fixed shelves and to the bottom one solid walnut shelf. It also has two hidden, ornately carved drawers.
An exceptional piece in very good condition commensurate with age, an old replacement of the bottom right side moulding on the base, some expected small chips to the carving, nothing that takes away from this exceptional piece.
It boasts a beautiful original patina that has been enhanced with a traditional waxing method.
