FOR SALE : CHALK (LIMESTONE) WALLING/BUILDING MATERIAL

Over 40 tons of reclaimed chalk stone blocks of varying sizes from dismantled internal chimney (which measured 3m x 2.7 at ground level, rising through ground, first and second floors) in South Oxfordshire pub. Believe chimney originally constructed around 1720.

The stone will have been quarried locally, and is the typical building material for the walls of the old thatched cottages in our village of Uffington, and the surrounding areas.

We have successfully reused some of the blocks already to build a new chimney breast in the bar, and to face the bar counter.

Chalk blocks weigh around 2.5 tons per m3, so will sell in m3 grab bags - half bag £100, full bag (to rim) £200. Buyer to bring bags, labour and transport.
