FOR SALE : S W FRANCIS TIMBER SHOPFRONT ROLLER SECURITY SHUTTER

Made by shopfront specialist S.W.Francis of Grays Inn Rd London about 1900, this timber roller security shutter has been rolled up in its boxing for many years, used orginally as an inner garage door. The outer side hung garage doors were used instead. These have now been replaced and the shutter is not needed. It is complete and has the side sliding rails and top boxing with it. It is rolls down approximately 2500mm and the shutter is 2630mm wide.

A rare Fifties shop sign: 'Marino's' was a milk bar in Victoria Park, East London. The sign is in three sections, base is heavy primrose yellow glass, with shop name in 3-D chrome lettering. Each section 56cm height and approximately 1.65m length. Total length 5 metres. Fair condition for its age, one section chipped and some rust to chrome lettering.
In use up to around 1990 then covered by a modern sign until taken down during building refurbishment around 2000.

A heavily carved oak reredos, with four 'spires' over htree open sections and two solid side panels. The overall measurements are 8ft 6" wide, by 9ft 6" tall. It was reclaimed from a Church in Hrefordshire, and is 'one faced' was up against a wall. Suitable for bar use, mirror, bed head etc, but not as room divider. probably early 20th c. almost completey undamaged.
