FOR SALE : 1920'S BATHROOM SUITE AND CLOCKROOM SET
We have several items that are about to be removed from a Victorian villa built in 1850, due to their age, style and quality we wondered if you would be interested in their acquisition?
Bathroom Suite
The light green bathroom suite was believed to be fitted in the early part of the 1900’s. It was in use until today and is in excellent condition showing absolutely no damage. The ceramic sink has a large presence and is 27” across, 20.5” front to back and 31” high. It bears the mark “standard” underneath the bowl. The pedestal, trap mechanism, trap and taps are to be included. The bath is metal and as you can see matches the sink, its enamel coating is undamaged. Its measurements are 18.5” high x 29” wide x 72” long. The bath has a gorgeous curved top edge, and as you can see from the pictures the solid curvy front continues to a round back. The boxing-in has just been removed from the curved back to show this better, although the picture shows dirt and cobwebs I can assure you that it is undamaged . All the fittings will be included in the sale.
Cloak Room Suite
The white cloak room suite is believed to have been fitted at around the same time. The toilet bears the mark “royal stenton ware” and the corner sink has the mark “pyramid” the toilet is complete but has modern cistern fittings and a modern seat, it is in very good condition. The corner sink has a hairline crack across the bowl as shown in the picture. Its approx 5” long, the ceramic isn’t chipped and the bowl doesn’t leak. The tap’s, trap and corner brackets are to be included in the sale.
