FOR SALE : EDWARDS AND ROBERTS CHIPPENDALE REVIVAL DESK IN MAHOGANY

A fantastic example of fine quality English furniture. Edwards and Roberts were renowned for their superb quality furniture and attention to detail throughout the Victorian period. This particular desk is a Chinese Chippendale revival circa 1880. As you can see, it features a plain and simple working area, and a single drawer to centre flanked by small drawers either side. All of the drawers are fitted with the original handles and locks, and decorated with blind fretwork carving. It stands upon 8 Bamboo inspired carved legs with square feet and small inserted brass castors. This Edwards and Roberts Chippendale revival desk is beautifully proportioned, and in truly magnificent condition for its age. This Edwards and Roberts Chippendale Revival Desk is a new item to the market as it has been in the same family for over 50 years. It is one of many pieces that we have recently acquired from a lovely local property.
