FOR SALE : RICHARD MELVIN GARDEN SLATE SUNDIAL WITH ORIGINAL PLINTH

Original rare slate sundial made by Richard Melvin in 1850

The slate dial is 14" square

Richard Melvin at this time was working mainly in Glasgow

Most of his sundial are in Museums

It is rare to find the dial with it's original plinth

This was discovered locally in the South Midlands

The sundial measures a total of 50" tall

The base is 24" square and the top is 16" square

One of the many inscriptions states - Latitude 52 degrees 28 minutes North
