FOR SALE : KELVINATOR 1950S ART DECO FRIDGE

A cream-coloured classic 1950s Art Deco fridge made by Nash-Kelvinator in working order.
This fridge is in excellent condition for its age. In working order with internal ice box (original ice tray) and crisper. Internally the aluminium shelves are in excellent condition.
The door to the icebox has a 35mm crack in the plastic below the logo There is a longer crack on the internal side of the icebox door(see photos). Both crack have been repaired but remain visible and could be reduced.The spring mechanism works perfectly.
Externally the paint work is in overall good condition but there are small losses to the front (see photos). The chromed click-lock door clasp is in excellent condition, still works perfectly and is lockable. The chrome on the kelvinator name plate is generally good with a small amount of pitting.
Although the rubber door seal has cracked a replacement will be included in the sale.
I brought this fridge a couple of years ago and intended to return it to its full glory but other projects have prevented me from achieving it. As I will have no spare time for the next couple of years I thought it would be better to give someone else a chance.
This a beautiful piece of 50s deco and would look great in a contemporary or period kitchen.
