 WANTED : CAST IRON FIRE/RANGE SURROUND OR TRIM
I am looking for a cast iron surround or trim to finish off a Range that we have fitted. Prefereably something simple in style and not too decorative, that will fit flush with the wall - somethng similar to the attached picture. The opening needs to be 38x38" approx, but we are open to options on the external size (but nothing too deep).
Any advice on where to find a suitable piece would be much appreciated.

J Day Stoneworks based in St Albans have 1000's of original cast iron fireplaces. Given the huge variety of original cast iron stock they have it's well worth a look for you - the are getting them online, with some of the fireplaces are already available to view (with dimensions). The main company website is old (new one to be launched soon) but gives you an overview of the business - they are also now stocking range cookers so will understand your requirements.
