Stolen lead faun
STOLEN : STOLEN LEAD FAUN
Stolen from Petworth, West Sussex, UK on 01 April 2010
Item : Lead Faun 2.5 to 3 feet tall. It has hoofs and is holding a distinctive circular disc in each hand. The left arm is raised above its head, the other one is bent at the elbow near its waist. The wavey hair on its head is well-detailed. The lead is pale, going grey and with some birdlime marks. Although the photo shows the faun on a stone plinth the plinth was not taken so the faun is on its own.
