FOR SALE : VICTORIAN/EDWARDIAN CHURCH ALTAR RAILS AND GATES 390CM LONG OVERALL

The date is uncertain. The rails came from a church built in 1912 (and refitted in the 1970s since when they have been in storage), but it is believed some of the fittings used for the altar etc were recycled from an earlier chapel, so the rails may predate the 1912 church.

Thought to be pitch pine that has been stained mahogany.

Condition is excellent overall given age and length of service. (See photos for signs of installation - where hinges were fixed and rails were attached to the ground.)

One pair of brass hinges available. It is not known whether these are original.
